Startups grouped by what they do: AI agents, developer tools, fintech, biotech, climate and 45 more. Each list is built from company pages on MentionFox, each of those from one record: a Y Combinator listing, a Form D notice filed with the SEC, or an SBIR or STTR award. 7,320 companies are on at least one list.

How these lists are built
Every company here has its own page on MentionFox, built from one record: its entry in the Y Combinator directory, a Form D notice it filed with the SEC (a company raising money privately files one within 15 days of its first sale), or a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award from a federal agency. A company is placed in a category by what that record says about it: the tags on its Y Combinator listing, the words its own description or award uses, or, for a Form D issuer that gives no description, the industry group its filing names. One company can be on more than one list.
Figures come only from the record linked in each row. The amount is the amount sold that a Form D notice reports for a new offering, or the amount of an SBIR or STTR award; a blank means the record gives none. A Y Combinator listing states a batch, not an amount. Medians are worked out from the amounts in the table on this page.
