One-paragraph elevator pitch

MentionFox watches what people say about a company and its rivals, finds the people worth writing to inside those conversations, and shows the page every single claim was read on. It does in one product what most companies buy as three — brand monitoring, lead research and background research — and it is priced for one-person businesses and small agencies rather than for enterprises. It scans 55 platforms, builds 60-section research reports on the people it finds, and drafts the outreach. Nothing is stated as found unless it was, and every line carries a link you can open and check. Built and operated solo by founder Saul Fleischman from Osaka, Japan.

Founder bio

Short (50 words)

Saul Fleischman is the founder of MentionFox, which finds who is talking about a company and its rivals, works out who is worth contacting, and cites the page behind every claim. He built and runs it solo from Osaka. He previously founded RiteKit (social-media software, 2013) and also runs FoxAPIs and FoxChat.

Medium (120 words)

Saul Fleischman is a solo software founder based in Osaka, Japan. He built MentionFox in 2025-2026 to do in one product what previously took three: watching what is said about a company, finding the people worth contacting inside those conversations, and researching who those people are. It scans 55 platforms, builds 60-section research reports, and drafts the outreach — and every claim in a report carries a link to the page it was read on, so a finding can be checked rather than taken on trust. It is priced for one-person businesses rather than for enterprises.

Saul also runs RiteKit (a social-media toolkit, founded 2013), FoxAPIs, FoxChat (a chat widget for websites), and GroupFinds (a community directory). He works alongside an AI collaborator as his main technical partner, and writes publicly about how a one-person company actually operates that way.

Long (300 words)

Saul Fleischman is the founder and sole operator of MentionFox, launched in 2025-2026. He is based in Osaka, Japan, where he has built and shipped commercial software on his own for over a decade.

MentionFox came out of a frustration Saul hit while building his earlier product, RiteKit (a social-media toolkit founded in 2013, still running). Watching what people said about a brand meant one subscription. Finding leads meant a second. Researching the people behind those leads meant a third, and the third was usually the sort of tool a law firm buys. Together they cost more than most one-person businesses spend on rent. MentionFox does all three, and adds the part none of them do: every claim in a research report carries a link to the page it was read on, so the reader can check it instead of believing it. What it costs is on the pricing page.

Besides MentionFox, Saul runs four other independent products: RiteKit (a social-media toolkit, founded 2013), FoxAPIs (foxapis.com), FoxChat (a chat widget for websites, at getfoxchat.com), and GroupFinds (a community directory, at groupfinds.com). All five run from one solo operation. He works the way a small team would, with an AI collaborator as his main technical partner rather than employees — and he writes about that publicly, in the open, as a worked example rather than a claim.

Saul speaks Japanese and English fluently and works from a small studio in Osaka. He is open to interviews, podcast appearances and conference talks on running a company alone, on getting cited by AI assistants when buyers ask them for recommendations, and on what it is actually like to build and ship production software with AI as your main collaborator.

Product overview

MentionFox unifies three categories that have historically been sold as separate tools:

The platform also includes 27 persona-specific "Dens" — purpose-built dashboards for founders, recruiters, journalists, investors, financial advisors, and others — each with workflow tools tuned to that persona's standard task set. A managed "Agency tier" handles multi-client white-label reporting for marketing and PR shops.

Key differentiators

  1. Three tools in one. Watching what is said, finding who to contact, and researching who they are — one product instead of three subscriptions.
  2. Built for one-person businesses, not enterprises. The same job the big enterprise tools do, at a fraction of what they cost together. Current prices are on the pricing page and nowhere else, because they change.
  3. Every claim shows the page it was read on. Each fact is marked with how well evidenced it is, and anything that could not be settled says so on the line rather than being quietly left out. A reader can check a report instead of trusting it.
  4. 27 persona Dens. One engine, weighted differently per job — a recruiter, a financial adviser, a journalist and an investor each see the surfaces that matter to them.
  5. Gets you named by AI assistants. Buyers now ask an assistant for recommendations. MentionFox measures how often a brand comes up in those answers and works on making it come up more.
  6. One human, one AI cofounder. The whole company is one person working alongside an AI collaborator, and the method is published rather than implied.
"One human and one AI cofounder, in a studio in Osaka, doing the work three enterprise subscriptions used to do — and showing you the page behind every line of it."

Logos and photos

High-resolution assets for editorial and conference use. All logos cleared for editorial use without prior written permission. Founder photos cleared for editorial use with attribution.

How to take them. Right-click any image below and choose “Save image as…” to download the full-resolution file, or click the image to open it on its own. Every asset also has its full web address printed underneath it — select the address and copy it, because most directories and submission forms ask you to paste a link rather than upload a file. Nothing here needs a login and nothing expires.

The MentionFox mark: an orange fox head on a dark rounded square, with a small green check badge in the top-right corner.
Square mark — the fox on a dark background, legible down to 48 pixels. Use it wherever a listing asks for an app icon, an avatar or a thumbnail. 240 × 240 PNG https://mentionfox.com/press/mentionfox-thumbnail-240.png
The MentionFox front page mid-run: a website address typed into a field, five ticked steps reading the site, naming five competing companies, four buyer groups, seven places searched and three people worth writing to, beside three large counters.
The front page, mid-check — a real run: the address pasted in, and the work appearing line by line on the same page. The best single image if you only use one. 1270 × 760 PNG https://mentionfox.com/press/mentionfox-gallery-1-front-door.png
The verdict panel: three headed sections reading Where you stand, What is missing and What to do, each line followed on the right by the address of the page that line was read on.
The verdict — where you stand, what is missing, what to do, with the address of the page behind every line. If no page says it, the line is not written. 1270 × 760 PNG https://mentionfox.com/press/mentionfox-gallery-2-verdict.png
A pipeline of three people, each row showing who they are, where they were read, why they are worth writing to, and a status pill reading Draft.
The pipeline — everyone a check found, each with the page they were read on and a status that says Draft. Nothing sends itself. 1270 × 760 PNG https://mentionfox.com/press/mentionfox-gallery-3-pipeline.png
The claim panel: a headline offering three people worth contacting each with a first message already written, an itemised list of three messages, three people and seven places searched, and a green Claim them free button.
What a check earns you — the offer at the end of a run, counted from what that run actually found rather than from a round number. 1270 × 760 PNG https://mentionfox.com/press/mentionfox-gallery-4-gate.png
