Archgen Labs builds AI-powered chip design tools for the next generation of 3D semiconductors. Stacking compute vertically shortens connections and reduces the energy and delay of moving data. But it also makes heat harder to remove. Our tools help engineers optimize placement, timing, and temperature together so they can build faster, more power-efficient 3D chips. Our GPU-accelerated placement engine ranked first in the Hudson River Trading macro-placement challenge. LayerTherm, our thermal analysis tool, predicts chip temperatures roughly 5,000× faster than conventional simulation in our benchmarks, helping engineers explore more designs and identify hotspots earlier. Newton, our AI chip design engineer, automates work across placement, routing, design-rule fixes, and timing closure. We’re working with GlobalFoundries on 3D chip development, targeting our first tapeout in 2027.
Most-starred repository: Macro-Placement-challenge-2026 — 5 stars, Python.

ArchGen AI is building Newton, a self-learning backend physical design agent that learns from reports, constraints, timing, congestion, fixes, signoff, and outcomes.
The title and description the site itself served, answering 200. Not a cached copy and not the company's directory entry — what was live when we asked.
Founders, titles and bios as the company published them. Photographs are our own copies of the ones on that record, so they do not break when the original link expires.
No investor is drawn from a Form D — the form states how many invested and never who. The one investor on this graph is named because a batch has exactly one.

If you're behind Archgen Labs: acceptance into a YC batch is one of the few weeks a young company gets looked up by people who matter — investors, other founders, press. FoxPlug turns the commits, deploys, and releases you're already making into that story automatically, so anyone who looks finds something current. GetFoxChat puts a guide on your own site so the people YC's own page just sent you don't read one line and leave.
