What the record shows

As of 2026-10-03. A lawsuit or complaint being filed is not a finding against the company.

  1. Health IQ (legal name Hi.Q, Inc.), the company Munjal Shah founded and led before Hippocratic AI, filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on 30 August 2023. The filing listed "outstanding liabilities totaling $256.7 million owed to lenders, investors and vendors" against total assets of $1.3 million, as reported by Benzinga from the court filing.Source: finance.yahoo.com
  2. Andreessen Horowitz led Health IQ's Series C in 2017 and later co-led the $50 million seed round of Hippocratic AI, according to the same report.Source: finance.yahoo.com

The Short Answer

What the whole report comes to, and what to do about it.

No revenue figure, burn rate, or audited financial statement for Hippocratic AI itself has been filed or independently verified; a September 2026 survey of healthcare AI startups by revenue stated explicitly that Hippocratic AI attracts significant attention but has no public revenue evidence strong enough to report.

The strongest argument against this position is that the company's commercial traction is real and corroborated by named counterparties. Universal Health Services launched an AI agent with Hippocratic AI for post-discharge follow-up calls in June 2025.

The single most important thing that could not be established is whether the company is generating enough revenue to justify the pace of spending visible in its hiring and infrastructure commitments, or whether it is burning through the Series C toward a raise that has not yet been secured. That answer lives in one document: the board-approved financial model or a data-room package showing monthly burn, revenue by customer, and projected runway.

First, request the data room — audited or reviewed financials, the Series C closing documents confirming the full amount was drawn, and a revenue schedule showing the top ten customers as a percentage of total revenue. Second, call a procurement or IT contact at WellSpan, UHS, or OhioHealth directly — not a reference supplied by Hippocratic AI — and ask specifically how the company performs once a contract is live, whether it meets SLAs, and whether they have renewed.

Warning Bells
