Where this comes from

Public companies report a bankruptcy, a receivership or a similar proceeding to the SEC on Form 8-K under Item 1.03, usually within four business days. Every filing listed here is one of them, linked to the filing itself. The sentences shown are quoted from the filing exactly; where a filing does not state the court, the case or the chapter in one sentence, nothing is shown in its place.

The state is where the company says its business is, and the industry is the one it registered with the SEC. A filing reports what the company filed; it does not say whether creditors will be paid, and neither does this page.
