How it works
Use MentionFox's Social Listening module to monitor 52+ platforms for mentions of your product, competitors, or industry keywords. The platform surfaces conversations where potential customers are actively discussing problems you solve. You gain context on who is talking, what they need, and which conversations signal buying intent. This raw prospect data becomes the seed for your Klaviyo campaigns.
MentionFox's lead enrichment layer adds business details—job titles, company size, industry signals—to discovered mentions. The Investor Research module (database of 52,000 investors) helps identify decision-makers if targeting VC-backed companies. Candidate Vetting helps qualify founders and operators. This enriched profile data is then ready to push into Klaviyo as new contact records.
Export qualified prospects from MentionFox and add them to Klaviyo via the API, populating custom properties (discovery source, listening topic, engagement signals). Create Klaviyo segments based on these properties and trigger welcome sequences, nurture flows, or product-focused campaigns. Every email is personalized with the context of where and why you found them.
What you can do
B2B SaaS: Convert Forum Discussions into Sales Campaigns
A project management tool uses MentionFox to listen on Reddit, Quora, and specialized forums where teams discuss workflow automation pain points. When a discussion thread mentions specific problems the tool solves, MentionFox surfaces the thread and enriches visible participant profiles. The team exports these prospects into Klaviyo, segments them by discussion topic, and sends a targeted email sequence that references the exact problem discussed. Conversion rates improve because outreach feels contextual, not cold.
Investor Relations: Qualify & Nurture VC Interest
A growth-stage fintech startup uses MentionFox's Investor Research module to monitor 52,000 investor profiles and identify which VCs are publicly discussing fintech, embedded finance, or regulatory trends relevant to the company's raise. When a target investor publishes on LinkedIn or Substack about those topics, MentionFox flags them. The startup syncs these warm leads into Klaviyo with custom properties (investor focus area, recent mention date, tier). A personalized nurture sequence begins, dropping relevant market reports and thought leadership content before the SDR reaches out.
Content & Demand Gen: Nurture High-Intent Researchers
A B2B data analytics company monitors HackerNews, Substack, Medium, and podcast discussions about data quality, governance, and compliance—topics its product addresses. MentionFox identifies users who are engaged in these conversations and enriches them with company and LinkedIn data. These prospects are added to Klaviyo with a property indicating listening topic (e.g., 'data governance interest'). Klaviyo automatically enrolls them in a 6-email nurture sequence featuring case studies and webinars specific to that interest, warming them before sales outreach.
How to connect
- Step 1: Set Up Klaviyo API Access. Log into your Klaviyo account and navigate to Account > Settings > API Keys. Create a new private API key with write access to Profiles (contacts) and Events. Store this key securely; you will use it to authenticate MentionFox when pushing prospect data. Klaviyo's API allows you to create or update profiles with custom properties, making it flexible for adding MentionFox-generated attributes like 'listening_source' or 'discovery_confidence_score'.
- Step 2: Configure MentionFox Exports & Mapping. Within MentionFox, after identifying and enriching prospects through Social Listening or Investor Research, prepare your export. Map MentionFox fields to Klaviyo profile properties: prospect email goes to Klaviyo's email field, enriched company name and job title map to custom properties, listening topic maps to a segment or tag. MentionFox supports CSV export and direct API calls; document your field mapping so each prospect lands in Klaviyo with consistent, actionable data structure.
- Step 3: Push Prospects via API Integration. Use Klaviyo's API endpoint to create or update profiles with MentionFox prospect data. Each prospect record includes email, business metadata (company, title, enrichment signals), and custom properties (discovery method, listening keywords, discovery date). Klaviyo automatically deduplicates by email, so repeated exports from MentionFox will update existing profiles rather than creating duplicates. This ensures your list stays clean and properties stay current.
- Step 4: Create Segments & Launch Campaigns. In Klaviyo, build segments based on MentionFox-derived properties: prospects discovered through specific keywords, investors flagged in recent weeks, or leads from particular platforms (Reddit vs. LinkedIn). Create email flows triggered by segment membership or custom events. For example, a 'Reddit Community' segment might receive a casual, community-focused email series, while 'Investor Research' prospects receive thought leadership content. Use Klaviyo's SMS, email, and dynamic content features to deliver personalized messages informed by MentionFox's listening insights.
Without MentionFox
Without MentionFox, teams manually search social platforms and forums to find prospects, often missing conversations or capturing incomplete context. Enriching those contacts requires cross-referencing multiple data sources by hand, consuming hours of time and introducing errors. Klaviyo becomes a broadcast tool rather than a precision nurture engine, sending generic campaigns to a list that may not reflect real buying intent or current market discussions.
