How to connect

  1. Generate Your MentionFox API Key. Log into your MentionFox dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Keys. Create a new API key and copy the token. Store it securely; you'll use it to authenticate requests between MentionFox and Crisp. MentionFox's API endpoint for exporting leads is documented in your admin panel. Note: MentionFox does not offer SLAs; support is available on paid tiers, with priority support reserved for Pro, Agency, and Enterprise accounts.
  2. Configure Crisp to Receive MentionFox Leads. In Crisp, go to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks (or API Clients if available). Create a new incoming webhook endpoint that will accept contact data from MentionFox. Crisp will assign you a URL. This endpoint should capture contact name, email, company, conversation context, and any custom fields you want to track (e.g., 'Lead Source: MentionFox'). Document this Crisp webhook URL—you'll input it into MentionFox in the next step.
  3. Link MentionFox to Your Crisp Webhook. Return to MentionFox Settings > Integrations. Add a new 'Outreach Destination' and select 'Crisp API.' Paste your Crisp webhook URL and test the connection. Once verified, MentionFox will offer a 'Send to Crisp' button on every qualified lead. When you click it, the lead's details (name, email, company, mention context) are posted to Crisp, and a new conversation thread is created automatically.
  4. Enable Manual Send & Preview in Outreach Automation. In your MentionFox Outreach Automation settings, ensure 'Manual Send' is active (it is by default). When you've identified a prospect and clicked 'Send to Crisp,' MentionFox's outreach editor opens. Compose or select a template, preview the message, and review all personalization fields. Every email requires an explicit click of the 'Send' button—no emails are auto-sent. Once sent, the message is logged in Crisp's conversation thread, and your team can manage follow-ups, replies, and relationship tracking from Crisp's unified inbox.
