In their words

ByteAsk is an AI coding agent built for C and C++, the code that runs trading systems, cars, chips, and operating systems. It does not stop at a diff that looks right. ByteAsk builds, debugs, and tests every change with the real toolchain until the change holds. If the compiler, the debugger, or the tests can catch it, then ByteAsk catches it too. It runs from the terminal or inside VS Code, Neovim, and Emacs, and is available fully on-prem.

Is this you?

If you're behind ByteAsk: acceptance into a YC batch is one of the few weeks a young company gets looked up by people who matter — investors, other founders, press. FoxPlug turns the commits, deploys, and releases you're already making into that story automatically, so anyone who looks finds something current. FoxChat puts a guide on your own site so the people YC's own page just sent you don't read one line and leave.

Sourced from the company's Y Combinator directory entry, from the company's own site, read directly on 2026-09-10 (byteask.ai), from the public GitHub account that record links to (ByteAsk), and from Hacker News, where 1 thread met the matching rule stated beside the count. Figures are read directly from the source record; names have not been matched against other people.
